A very auspicious feature, core tothe Temple Complex, is the Ganesha Temple, whose pratishtha (installation) was done around the same time that the Ayyappa Temple was built and consecrated. Made of black stone, this Ganesha is propitiated before the commencement of most auspicious occasions at CIF. Daily pooja at each of the temples in the Mana commences with traditional prayers to Lord Ganesha in this temple. Local devotees have a long standing relationship with the Ganesha which they offer obeisances to daily with the sacred darbha grass. This idol has stood witness to all the great events at CIF, encompassing in itself the blessings that have poured on us through the years. Naturally, offering homa and prayers at this temple on one's birthday or wedding anniversary, is precious.
